Korouoma is a northwest-southeast valley about 30 kilometers long that is part of a bedrock fracture zone formed hundreds of millions of years ago. You can hike the entire canyon or take a stroll along the 5-kilometre Koronjää Trail, which is home to three of the canyon’s largest ice waterfalls. After mid-November, the snow here may be more than 1 meter thick. Layers of white snow pile up on the treetops of the forest, making the forest more dreamy and blurry. Every photo you take is like an ice and snow wonderland. Watch the stunning natural landscape as a trickle cascades from the cliff into a frozen waterfall. Most people are happy just admiring the frozen waterfalls, and many professional ice climbers come here every year in late winter to challenge themselves.
If the snow is thick enough, the guide will provide professional snowshoes before entering the forest, allowing you to walk comfortably and safely in the forest and experience the most special snow experience in the forest. We will build a campfire in the wild and enjoy authentic Lapland barbecue next to the warm fire.

- Free pick-up and drop-off service is available within 15 km of Rovaniemi city
- Visit the virgin forest and ice waterfall hiking (snowshoe equipment is provided according to the thickness of the snow layer; if it is not snow season, it is forest hiking)
- Campfire barbecue: sandwiches, sausages, marshmallows and hot blueberry tea (please make separate requests if you have special dietary restrictions)
NOTE
- We do not recommend children under 5 years old to participate in this tour
- On weekdays and Saturdays, at least 2 people need to register to form a group
- On Sundays and national holidays, at least 4 people are required to register to form a group
- Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult
- If guests are late due to their own reasons, the guide will not wait for them. Please go to the activity location by yourself or abandon the trip (no refunds will be given)
- If the number of applicants is less than 2, we will notify you in advance and cancel the trip or make other arrangements depending on the situation
Cancellation policy
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 0-3 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 4-8 days or less before the event
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 9-31 days or less before the event
