Tromso

Tromso is the only way to the North Pole, so it is called the “Gateway to the North Pole”. It is the most famous city in northern Norway and the third largest city within the Arctic Circle. It is known as the “Paris of the North”. Tromso is the most suitable place to see the Northern Lights in Norway and even the entire Nordic region. It is the famous “City of Northern Lights” in Northern Europe. The best time to see the Northern Lights is from early September to early April each year. The long winter nights in Tromso greatly increase the chance of tracking the Northern Lights.
