The Icebreaker offers 3 hours cruise in the frozen water of Bothnian sea in Lapland. During 3 hours you will be a witness of a massive ice breaking power of the vessel, have a guided tour all the way down to the engine rooms and all way up to Captain’s bridge. Tour is available on 16 languages via audio guide application and includes 11 min movie in icebreaker cinema about icebreakers all over the world. You can relax in the cozy saloon, enjoying warm juice or go for walk on the frozen sea ice during the stop. The icebreaker makes a pool free of ice and every visitor can take a swim in the dark icy water in flotation survival suit. The captain will present Cruise & Swim Certificate to everyone as a memorable gift.

* Boarding starts 30 minutes before departure. Boarding is closed 10 minutes before departure.

- There are no age restrictions for the Icebreaker Cruise experience and children aged under 4 are entitled to free admission. Please note that children aged under 4 are not allowed to participate in the floating experience
- Free admission for children aged under 4, please notify us of the age and number of eligible children in the “Note” section when booking
- The floatating experience is optional, no refunds will be offered if you decide not to participate in this experience
- Children must be over 125 cm in height to participate in the floating experience
- To avoid long waiting time for the floating experience, be sure to confirm the experience time upon check-in or query the staff on-site
- The flotation suit is waterproof and will keep you insulated from the cold. It must be worn over normal indoor clothes
- The cruise will depart as usual in early December regardless of the thickness of the ice. Please note that the thickness of the ice cannot be guaranteed before mid-December
- The ice may be absent or thin before mid-December, please consider before booking
- The earliest availability of ice walking experience is early January
- In the event of adverse weather (e.g. typhoon, snowstorm), the tour may be cancelled and the decision will be made before 12:00am 1 day before departure. Travelers will be notified of the cancellation via email after the decision has been made
- The supplier reserves the right to change or cancel the floating experience or ice walking due to safety reasons (e.g. adverse weather conditions, force majeure) without offering compensation, please consider before booking
